Figma
Figma is a collaborative design platform used for creating user interface designs, prototypes, and design systems. It enables designers and developers to work from a shared source of truth when building user-facing applications.
Within our development workflow, Figma is primarily used to define layout, visual design, and interaction patterns before implementation begins. Designs produced in Figma provide guidance for developers implementing features in the codebase.
Figma supports real-time collaboration, allowing designers, developers, and stakeholders to review designs, leave comments, and iterate quickly.
Design System
Section titled “Design System”Our applications follow a shared design system maintained in Figma. The design system defines the visual language and reusable UI components used across our products.
A design system is a structured collection of reusable components, styles, and guidelines that help teams maintain consistency across interfaces and improve collaboration between designers and developers.
The system includes elements such as:
- Color tokens and palettes
- Typography styles
- Spacing and layout rules
- Reusable UI components (buttons, inputs, cards, etc.)
- Interaction patterns and design guidelines
These components and styles act as a single source of truth for UI design and should be used whenever possible when implementing user interfaces.
